 FUTURE STARS SUMMER CAMP
Monday June 28- Thursday July 1, 2010
Franklin Head Coach, Matt Fournier, and the Livonia Franklin Baseball Coaching Staff will be holding a summer baseball camp for baseball players (boys or girls) exiting grades 2-8. The camp will consist of 4 days focusing on sport specific skills. The Franklin Staff has extensive experience at the high school and collegiate levels. The camp will be held on the Franklin Varsity Baseball Field or in the Franklin Field House in the event of inclement weather.

 2010 SEASON: GAME SUMMARIES
Game 19: Franklin 1 Canton 5
Franklin could only muster 3 hits on the day. Jack Chinavare helped his own cause by collecting 2 of the 3 hits. Jack also pitched a complete game while scattering 8 hits.
JV: Franklin 1 Canton 6
Game 18: Franklin 3 Canton 8
Sophomore Joel Trudell went 6 innings giving up 8 hits. Will Kramer, Jack Chinavare, and Steve Wells all had extra base hits in the game.
JV: Franklin 4 Canton 5
Game 17: Franklin 8 Novi 11
Junior Brent Marzion took the loss aftre going 3 and 2/3 innings. Nick Hopson did a great job in relief. Jack Chinavare led the way with 3 hits. Bobby Andrus and Anthony Crechiolo added 2 hits a each.
JV: Franklin 5 Novi 7
Game 16: Franklin 12 Lincoln Park 2
Franklin stopped a 5 game skid with the 5 inning mercy win. Freshman Josh Gorman worked the 1st 4 innings while Steve Wells finished up. Steve Wells and Will Kramer led the 12 hit attack with three hits each.

Game 15: Franklin 3 Churchill 11
Losing picher Dan Muller went 2 and 1/3 innings before giving way to Dallas Centers. Dan Muller was 3 for 3 on the day while Steve Wells collected 2 hits in the loss.

Game 14: Franklin 1 Churchill 12
Sophomore Joel Trudell took the loss on the mound while only giving up 4 earned runs in 4 and 1/3 innings. Nick Hopson finnished up in relief as the Chargers pounded out 12 hits. Bent Marzion and Nick Hopson each collected a hit in the contest.
JV: Franklin 1 Churchill 7
Game 13: Franklin 4 Edsel Ford 5
In a well played game by both teams Franklin could not hold onto a 1 run lead in the 7th. Jack Chinavare threw very well in defeat. Jack also led the offensive attack going 3 for 4. Steve Wells, Dan Muller, and Joel Trudell each had 1 hit on the day.
JV: Franklin 22 Edsel Ford 5
Game 12: Salem 6 Franklin 5
Losing pitcher Brent Marzion deserved a better fate as the Patriots committed 7 errors. Marzion threw 6 innings without and earned run. Joel Trudell and Anthony Crechiolo each hit solo home runs.
JV: Franklin 5 Salem 4
Game 11: Franklin 5 Belleville 6
After jumping out to a 4-0 lead Franklin committed 5 errors to lose 6-5. Losing Pitcher Steve Wells threw the final 2 innings in relief of Dallas Centers. Will Kramer collected two hits in the nightcap.

Game 10: Franklin 6 Belleville 1
Freshman Josh Gorman went all 7 innings with 0 earned runs. Josh struck out 5 and walked 2. Dan Muller went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 rbis to pace the Patriots.

Game 9: West Bloomfield 9 Franklin 5
After Jumping out to a 5-0 lead the Patriots could not hang on. Losing pitcher Dan Muller went 4 and 2/3 inning before Joel Trudell finished up. Jack Chinavare and Dan Muller each had two hits on the day.

Game 8: Franklin 14 Wayne Memorial 12
In a game that had to be suspended and played on two different dates, Franklin hung on to win in a slug fest. Winning pitcher Nick Hopson went 5 and 1/3 innings and Jack Chinavare picked up the save. Joel Trudell and Steve Wells each hit home runs while Dan Muller and Anthony Andrus each had two hits.

Game 7: Franklin 4 Wayne Memorial 14
In a very sloppy defensive game for the Patriots, losing pitcher Brent Marzion lasted just 2 and 1/3 innings before giving way to Jack Chinavare and Dallas Centers. Joel Trudell and Prentice Hawkins each had 2 hits on the day.
JV: Franklin 10 Wayne Memorial 0
Game 6: Franklin 4 South Lyon 8
Losing pitcher Joel Trudell went 5 innings giving up 4 runs, 3 earned, while striking out 3. Steve Wells and Dallas Centers finished up on the mound. Prentice Hawkins collected 3 hits on the day while Jack Chinavare, Steve Wells, Justin Dean, and Nick Hopson each had 1 hit a piece.
JV: Franklin 8 South Lyon 5
Game 5: Franklin 12 Plymouth 1 (5 innings)
Sophomore Joel Trudell threw a 5 inning complete game. Joel gave up 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 3 and walking 2. Three different Patriots hit home runs in the game. Steve Wells hit a 2 run HR in the 1st, Dan Muller hit a solo shot in the 3rd, and Prentice Hawkins hit a walk off grand slam in the 5th. Prentice finished the day with 7 rbi's after clearing the bases earlier in the game with a double. Justin Dean had a great night at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 stolen bases. Anthony Crechiolo and Jack Chinavare each collected two hits.
JV: Franklin 4 Plymouth 0
Game 4: Franklin 8 Plymouth 4
Winning Pitcher Brent Marzion threw a complete game. The Junior went all 7 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Brent struck out 7 wildcats while walking 3. Dan Muller collected 2 hits in the game ( a single and a double ), while Prentice Hawkins also added two singles. Adam Michael was one for three with 2 RBI's.
JV: Franklin 4 Plymouth 2
Game 3: Franklin 20 South Lyon East 13
Winning Pitcher Nick Hopson threw 4 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 3 and walked 2. Jack Chinavare pitched 2 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits. Franklin pounded out 16 hits on the day. Justin Dean, Joel Trudell, Dan Muller, Adam Michael, Nick Hopson, BrentMarzion, and Anthony Crechiolo all had two hits.
JV: Franklin 11 South Lyon East 8
Game 2: Franklin 5 Dearborn 3
Winning Pitcher Steven Wells 4 and 1/3 innings. 1 run 0 earned 3 hits 3 strikeouts 2 BB. Joel Trudell got the save with 1 inning pitched 0 runs, 0 hits 1 strikeout 0 base on balls.
Hitting stars: Dan Muller was 2 for 2 with a single and a double. Nick Hopson was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 rbis. Nick's two out bases loaded single with 2 outs in the 7th broke a 3-3 tie.
JV: Franklin 11 Dearborn 1 (5th inning mercy)
Game 1: Franklin 13 Garden city 4
Winning pitcher Brent Marzion 5 inning pitched, 4 runs on 5 hits. 2 earned. 9 strikeouts and 2 base on balls. Joel trudell went the final 2 innings. 0 runs on 1 hit. 1 strike out and 0 base on balls.
Hitting stars: Nate Robinson was 2 for 3 with a double and a grand slam HR. He aslo had 4 rbis. Joel Trudell was 2 for 2 with a walk, a sac fly, single, 2 run HR and 4 rbis. Jack Chinavare also had two hits in the game.

 PATRIOT CLUB 9th ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
The Franklin Patriot Club is sponsoring their 9th Annual Golf Outing at Tanglewood Golf Course. Please join us for an afternoon of golf and support the Patriot Club and Franklin Athletics.

Format: This will be a 4 person scramble event.
Contests and Prizes: The winning foursome will win a 2 day golf vacation to Shanty Creek Resorts! There will be many contests on the course with the chance to win rounds of golf to local courses, cash, and sponsor prizes.
Event Day Registration: Begins at 12:00 pm and there will be FREE range balls prior to the outing.

 UPCOMING EVENTS

 HOME RUN FUNDRAISER, A SUCCESS!
On April 29th 2010, the Franklin Baseball Team completed its Home Run Derby to raise funds for the baseball program as well as Area 23 Special Olympics. Through the efforts of players, coaches, students, and family members, we were able to raise $3,270.00. On Friday, May 7th, the players were able to present Area 23 with a check for $1,635.00. Great job everybody on making this a huge success.

 4TH ANNUAL: ALUMNI GAME
The alumni game was cancelled due to inclimate weather. The game will be rescheduled.

     PATRIOT PRIDE
    Benjamin Franklin High School, also referred to as Franklin High School, Livonia Franklin and FHS, is a public high school located in Livonia, Michigan, United States. Established in September 1961, it is a part of the Livonia Public Schools district. The school currently educates approximately 1,800 students from a portion of southern Livonia and northern Westland. The school mascot is the patriot and the school colors are red and blue.

    Franklin is a Class A athletic school and is part of the Kensington Lakes Activities Association and are in the south division.
