    Off to a Wet Start

A difficult weekend weather wise. A lot of games cancelled and a lot of waiting. We ended up playing two full innings the first game and made it to the 7th inning before lightening called the 2nd game with us leading 5-0. Here are some highlights:

First Game: (Called after 2 1/3 Innings)

  • Joe Chinavare - 2 Hits
  • Tyler Camp - 2 Hits (2B) and RBI
  • Jon Hovermale - 2 Hits (2B) and RBI

    Defensively:

Three nice plays by Brendan Sanders at 1B. Scooped three tough balls out of the dirt. Harrison Merrill did a great job catching. We had no catcher for the tournament and Harrison stepped up and did a great job. Jack Engel with a very nice play at third coming in and picking up a slow roller to nip the runner. Tyler Camp with a nice play at short to throw out a runner at third trying to advance on an overthrow.
